Maria Cifuentes, Principal Attorney
As founder of the Miami law firm Cifuentes Marrero P.A., which she has successfully run for two decades, Maria is a recognized expert in the field of business immigration law in South Florida.
Maria takes a personal interest in every case. Having gone through a challenging and lengthy immigration journey herself, Maria is now a passionate client advocate, tirelessly working on your behalf, always striving to make things easier for you. Maria is a graduate of Universidad Santa Maria in Venezuela (1993) and received her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law (1996).
David J. Puentes, Attorney
David is known as “the details guy” of the firm, conducting in-depth research and using his knowledge to help clients navigate the complexities of US immigration law. Since joining Cifuentes-Marrero P.A. in 2015, David has processed hundreds of visa cases, facilitating immigration processes for US companies and global applicants alike. David’s dedication and attention to detail make him an invaluable resource for our clients and a rising star within the field.
In addition to his work within Cifuentes-Marrero, P.A., David has also served on numerous committees locally and nationally with the American Immigration Lawyers Association as well as serving on the board of directors of both the South Florida and the Latin American and Caribbean Chapters.
David is a Criminal Justice graduate of Florida International University (2012) and received a Juris Doctor, Cum Laude degree from the University of Miami (2016).
